Mass gate: the wing tip

Test prints / LW-PLA: the foam is the calibration

The Wing Tip A test print within 5 % of its sliced mass, before any large LW-PLA part.

This test prints an existing print job.

Procedure

What it is for. A gate before any large LW-PLA part. The CG envelope depends on each part’s mass, so a part that prints heavy moves the CG.

Print. Print the Wing Tip A test job (g01). It waits with the Fuselage C beds until the bed plan is ready.

Measure. Weigh it to 0.01 g.

Pass. It is within ±5 % of its sliced mass. If it is not, do not print a large LW-PLA part: do the expansion map again first.

Record. The mass. Weigh every part after it as well, and record the mass: the CG envelope depends on it.
